Kia is slow-rolling EV9 U.S. assembly to wait for locally sourced batteries

Kia America COO Steve Center said the automaker will wait to scale up U.S. production of the EV9 because the rules to qualify for the $7,500 federal electric vehicle tax credit, particularly regarding battery assembly, are so complex.
